To configure Outlook 97 for Internet e-mail, follow these instructions.

You will need the following information:
E-mail address:
Account name:
Internet Mail Server:
You can look up the settings for your e-mail here:

1 - Go to the ‘Tools’ menu and select ‘Services’.
2 - Highlight ‘Internet Mail’, then click ‘Properties’. If Internet Mail is not an option, click on the ‘Add’ button to add the service.
3 - Fill in the information on the ‘General’ tab.
4 - Click on the ‘Connection’ tab and select the method you would like to use to connect. If you are on a dial-up connection, select ‘Connect using modem’.
5- Click ‘Apply’ then OK out of all the configuration screens.
6 - You will need to restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.

You configuration is complete. To check your mail, go to the ‘Tools’ menu and select ‘Check for New Mail’.
